Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time

$19.29 to $21.22 hourly.Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/Travels Countywide.Work schedule is Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work planned and unplanned overtime and call back hours as necessary and on-call duty on a rotational basis. Performs skilled office and clerical work coordinating and expediting services and maintaining accurate and current stock inventory records regarding the receiving, storing, and issuing of Fire Rescue emergency vehicle parts, supplies, and equipment. Work requires the use of considerable discretion in prioritizing service requests. When required, assists Fire Rescue Equipment Technicians in the repair and service of emergency fire apparatus and ambulances. Performs repair and service on small engine equipment.

REQUIREMENTS:Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in the receiving and storekeeping of automotive parts, equipment, and supplies. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience in light automotive/truck repair and the repair and service of small motors is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Occasionally may be required to work in a primitive field environment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
