What you'll do...

  • Lead Quality and Safety Initiatives: Promote a culture of safety and GMP compliance, ensuring product safety, regulatory adherence, and alignment with company quality standards. Maintain certifications (e.g., BRC, HACCP, SFI) and lead all audit activities with an "audit ready at any time" mindset.

  • Drive Operational Excellence:Monitor KPIs to anticipate issues, implement corrective actions, and drive performance in Safety, Quality, Service, Efficiency, and Employee Development. Align quality objectives with manufacturing to enhance reliability and reduce costs.

  • Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving:Analyze nonconformities, customer complaints, and trends to identify improvement opportunities. Lead root cause analysis, oversee corrective actions, and develop effective audit and inspection criteria.

  • Technical Leadership and Collaboration:Act as a subject matter expert in quality assurance, process improvement, and product trials. Develop procedures, visual standards, and work instructions. Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, third-party agencies, and customers to uphold quality standards and resolve issues.

What you'll need...

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required, with at least 3 years of progressive quality-related experience and 3 years in a supervisory role demonstrating strong leadership and management capabilities.

  • Technical & Quality Expertise: Proficient in quality systems and methodologies including QMS, SPC, SQC, 5S, 8D, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Gage R&R, and DOE. Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product quality control, and statistical analysis (including algebra and statistics).

  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for training, influencing decisions, and addressing complex quality and safety issues. Demonstrates approachability, accessibility, and effective team leadership.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Skilled in using logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and drive continuous improvement. Able to analyze trends, customer demands, and process data to guide decision-making.

  • Technology & Business Acumen: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for creating reports and documentation. Knowledgeable in business principles such as planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and people management. Capable of training others on systems and procedures.

  • Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain formal certifications such as those offered by the American Society for Quality (ASQ).

Preferred Qualifications...

  • Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, or Certified Quality Manager
  • ASQ certification
  • 6 Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing multi-shift or continuous operations
