Overview

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. ("CEC") is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance and Risk Coordinator to join our corporate staff in our Pittsburgh, PA office. You'll be responsible for issuance and management of certificates of insurance for projects and subcontractors, maintain a thorough understanding of CEC insurance policies and coverage, verification of contract formation, and the filing and maintenance of subcontract agreements. This is an integral role within the legal/risk department, supporting risk management and compliance efforts throughout the company. You will report directly to the Risk Lead in the legal/risk department and work closely with operations teams throughout the United States.

Primary duties for the position will include:

    Administration of requests for certificates of insurance;
  • Manage insurance policy and coverage documentation;
  • Verification of contract formation and review of supporting documentation;
  • Responsible for maintenance of repository for subcontract agreements and corresponding certificates of insurance;
  • Assistance with company professional license applications and renewals; and
  • Provide general support to the legal/risk department, with opportunities for increased responsibility over time.


Qualifications

  • 1 - 5 years of experience preferred;
  • Bachelor's or associate's degree in related field, experience with insurance, risk management and/or contracts preferred;
  • Project Management skills with attention to detail desired;
  • High level of organizational and communication skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.);
  • Experience with digital document approval platforms such as DocuSign and Adobe Sign; and
  • Familiarity with third party insurance management platforms a plus.
