Lead IDC Reviewer - Life Safety

Gilbane is seeking a Lead IDC Reviewer to performs all discipline review functions for any complex project, has the ability to identify high level, cost savings issues, and develops review content tutorials for IDC Reviewers I & II. The Lead IDC Reviewer works independently, may mentor IDC Reviewers, and works under the supervision of the IDC Manager or Senior IDC Manager.

Investigates cross discipline coordination issues
• Completes all IDC checklist tasks without direction
• Assists in developing review strategies within their discipline(s)
• Motivates and coaches same discipline reviewers to meet high performance standards with confidence
• Participates in presentations to clients, designers, and construction teams
• Recognizes specific review comments that may be critical to other preconstruction team members and elevate them to those groups
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering preferred
• 10+ years of experience in the construction field, in a design environment, or in a related field
• Architectural or Engineering Licensure preferred
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to read and understand construction documents and specifications
• Ability to set an example for and inspire those learning discipline review skills
• Ability to mitigate conflict
• Ability be self-disciplined and flexible by to changing assignments as workload priorities change
• Strong skill set in collaborating with design and client partners
• Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods
• Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail skills
• Strong computer skills within Microsoft Office Suite and IDC software

Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.

For Rhode Island, this ranges from $99,750.00-$131.250.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
