General Purpose of the Job: This teammate is a vital partner in supporting the Benefits team by leveraging technology, including Workday, to manage data and reporting, and develop new analytics and solutions that optimize benefit strategies across the Village. You will lead the analysts team with providing detailed metrics on plan performance, eligibility and compliance. You will collaborate with partners in supporting benefit programs by owning benefits related technology, ensuring efficient reporting processes, and providing insights that drive data-informed decision-making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive.

Technology

  • Maintain a deep understanding of Workday's benefit related Payroll functions, including file transfers from Benefit Administrator.
  • Manage and optimize other technologies that support benefit processes, ensuring seamless integration and functionality across systems.
  • Engage heavily with peers and stakeholders (internal and external to DaVita) to align technology solutions with benefit strategies.
  • Prioritize multiple requests, identifying which benefit-related business problems are most critical to address.
  • Support the design, testing, and implementation of open enrollment and year-end processes.

Data Management

  • Ensure data integrity specifically within benefit systems, maintaining accuracy and consistency across multiple platforms.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive data and compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Lead the maintenance and optimization of the closed-loop payroll system as it relates to teammate benefits, ensuring accurate integration of benefits data, compliance with regulations, and alignment with organizational policies; act as the subject matter expert for system troubleshooting and process improvements.
  • Lead and collaborate on cross-functional projects related to employee benefits systems, providing technical expertise, defining project scope, ensuring timely delivery, and coordinating with stakeholders to meet business objectives and compliance requirements

Reporting

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on employee benefits data, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery to key stakeholders for decision-making and compliance purposes.
  • Analyze and interpret payroll and benefits data to identify trends, provide insights, and support strategic planning for benefits program improvements
  • Use Alteryx to drive automation of processes and reporting to ensure efficiency and accuracy in administering benefits programs and workflows

Analytics

  • Utilize creativity to identify analytical tools that uncover insights about benefit trends and teammate engagement.
  • Build analytical models to address pressing benefits-related business issues and support strategic decision-making.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Expert-level computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Knowledge of Empyrean and Workday data/reporting and database administration.
  • Ability to learn and implement new technologies and systems.
  • Experience working with multiple large data sources to generate insights and solve problems through questioning, critical thinking and analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.

  • Experience in benefit analytics.
  • Familiarity with market compensation benchmarks and analysis.
  • Proficient in Alteryx.
