CDI Engineering Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (TCE), is a multi-disciplinary engineering organization offering a full range of integrated engineering design, project support, procurement and construction management services to the energy and chemicals industries.


Position Summary

This role is critical to the success of the cybersecurity, alarm management process, Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and other control system related activities for petrochemical facilities. This position will provide leadership and innovation to ensure that these initiatives are consistently implemented on all DCS and PLC systems. Communication and teamwork with various levels of the organization, including area process control engineers, is necessary to ensure targets are met and all initiatives and activities are properly managed.


Responsibilities

Engineering SIS Support (Chemicals/Manufacturing Industry).

Alarm Management.

Responsible site alarm management procedures.

Assist area Process Control Engineers and Manufacturing Information System personnel with implementation.

Develop and implement facility control and automation solutions.

Responsible for network management.

Responsible for identifying and developing conceptual scopes for improvements in plant process control systems.

Responsible to act as a project team member as required.

SIS And Other PSM Activities

Good knowledge of process hazards and associated safeguards, i.e. process control, safety instrumented functions, alarms, and operator response.

Provide design engineering support for projects.

Responsible for developing scope of work details for instrument and electrical discipline.

Awareness of importance of instrumented systems used as Independent Protection Layers (IPLs).

Participates in the Process Safety Engineering Team to effectively manage the Facility's SIS safety life cycle phases .

Develop SIS and DCS Scope documents as necessary for instrumented IPLs.

Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives.

Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives.

Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company.

Participate in and complete company-required training programs.


Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in Project Engineering required.

Working knowledge of codes and standards including NFPA 70, NPA85-87, UL508, IEC 61511, ISA 18.2, IEC 62443 / ISA 99 & EEMUA 191 and ISA Standards.

Industrial control system DCS and PLC configuration experience preferred.

Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM).

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Strong engineering, technology, and business acumen to bring value to business team.

Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop engineering solutions.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must have a level of proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.

Must have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).


Education Requirements

BS in Electrical, Computer, Control Systems, or Chemical Engineering.
