Overview
The Cloud Data Developer-Senior will be responsible for leading the development and optimization of the enterprise data solutions for the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment/platform. This role will focus on leveraging Azure Synapse Pipelines, Power BI semantic models, paginated reports, and the Power Platform, including Microsoft Dataverse, to deliver scalable and secure analytics solutions. The Cloud Data Developer-Senior will possess deep experience in SQL, cloud data workflows, and cross-platform integration using Microsoft technologies as well as other software platforms. They will provide technical leadership to IT associates, ensuring adherence to best practices and alignment with data architecture standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required. Information Systems and Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred. An additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Five (5) years of experience in object-oriented programming, SQL database development (including writing and optimizing queries), and microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud technologies, Microsoft Azure, and Power Platform including Azure Data Factory, Azure Dev Ops, CI/CD pipelines, and Synapse preferred.
- Experience in ITIL standards and IT/Cloud Security compliance standards and best practices.
- Proven leadership skills with leading technical teams or managing technical projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders across business and technical domains.
Essential Accountabilities
- Lead cloud data architecture and integration initiatives by designing and implementing enterprise data pipelines and architectures connecting Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft Dataverse, Azure Synapse, and other platforms. Apply advanced SQL and data engineering techniques to ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Support the Azure and Power Platform Development by leading the build and optimize solutions using Azure Synapse Pipelines, Power BI (including semantic models and paginated reports), and Microsoft Dataverse.
- Seek methods to leverage Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines to enable scalable, automated data processes across integrated platforms.
- Collaborate with the organization's information risk organization (IRO) and IT infrastructure teams to ensure all data solutions adhere to ITIL standards and organizational security compliance requirements.
- Develop solutions to monitor fine-tune query and pipeline performance within Synapse Dataverse and SQL-based systems and implement practices to reduce data latency and ensure reliability of business intelligence solutions.
- Provide technical leadership by guiding and mentoring IT associates. Champion software engineering standards, promote code quality, and lead technical project efforts.
- Stay current with cloud and data trends, especially within the Microsoft ecosystem. Recommend and implement improvements to tools, processes, and technologies that enhance enterprise data capabilities.
- Provide project leadership by translating complex business requirements into technical deliverables and leading cross-functional collaboration. Manage timelines, risks, and resource coordination for cloud data initiatives involving Azure, Dynamics CRM, and Dataverse.

Hiring Compensation Range: $100,000 - $130,000 annually Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience. In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
