The Weitz Company is growing our Information Technology (IT) team! We are hiring an IT Project Manager to oversee and ensure the successful delivery of IT projects across the organization by planning, managing, evaluating available resources, and executing responsibilities for assigned projects. This role documents and communicates project objectives, process changes and implementation criteria to internal and external stakeholders. What You'll Do:



  • Collaborate with various teams and departments to build relationships and drive successful projects
  • Develop and leverage appropriate project management methodologies and best practices
  • Lead regular meetings and distribute notes, monitor project progress, and evaluate resource allocation
  • Identify/address long lead items, amend project plans, and identify schedule and/or cost impacts
  • Understand contract terms and obligations to ensure work in progress is within scope
  • Act as the main point of contact for all project management related inquiries
  • Delegate technical questions to appropriate stakeholders and ensure timely follow-up
  • Assist in completing risk assessments on assigned projects by identifying project delivery risks (i.e. cost, time, resources) and developing risk mitigation strategies
  • Manage closeout information, punch list items, and turnover documentation



What We're Looking For:



  • Experience:

    • 8+ years of experience in an IT-related field required
    • 2+ years of experience in project management
    • Track record of successful management and delivery of projects
    • Bachelor's degree in business management, information technology, or a related field is strongly preferred


  • Skills:

    • Excellent business acumen and negotiation skills
    • Strong schedule management skills and ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to solve problems and think critically
    • Excellent customer service skills and comfortable talking to customers/internal employees
    • Self-motivated with strong time management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Team-oriented


  • Technology:


    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Ability to learn additional specific job-related software upon hire


  • Additional Requirements:


    • Must be able to work in the office 4 days per week - position allows the ability to work remote 1 day per week upon successful completion of training
    • May require occasional business travel
