Job DescriptionWith leadership and guidance from facility Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the wastewater separation system at the Hillside Manufacturing facility. Safety, sanitation, housekeeping, GMP standards, problem solving ability as well as good employee relations are considered key elements to success.
Competencies:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Related Experience: Minimum of 1 year of satisfactory experience in the operation and maintenance of equipment used in the controlling or purification of water at facilities.Demonstrate ability to perform all mechanical/maintenance functions required of the position. Equipment/Software Skills: Must be PC literate with working knowledge of MS Office, and Outlook.Demonstrate computer proficiency. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: If successful applicant does not possess a NJ DEP T-2 upon entering the position, the employee will be granted up to three (3) years to obtain the NJ DEP N-1 license. After obtaining the license the employee must progress to the NJ DEP T-2 license. Once the NJ DEP T-2 is obtained, the employee must maintain through re-certifications. Additional InformationPhysical:Ability to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time while performing job duties. Must be capable of working in confined spaces and from heights, climbing stairs and/or ladders, bending, kneeling; able to lift 50 lbs periodically and must be able to wear a respirator. Sensory: Good Listening Skills; Public speaking abilities to communicate with both hourly and salaried personnel. Along with the listening skills you have to be able to determine the purpose of what you're listening to and prioritize accordingly. Mental/Reasoning: Organizational; Decision making ability; Multi-tasking; Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to accommodate a quick paced environment (a quick thinker).In keeping within the boundaries of company policy and union contracts.
