About this Role - Purchasing Assistant We are looking for a talented Purchasing Assistant that has a passion for quality construction. This position is responsible for assisting in the procurement of tools/supplies, process purchase orders, expedite back orders and processing paperwork for stock and non-stock tools/supplies. What You'll Do - Assist Tool Control Purchasing with procurement of tools, expendables, safety, and rental items as requested - Follow up on back orders, expedites delivery of orders, and make special arrangements for delivery - Confer with Vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery schedule - Communicate to all departments the expected delivery dates for purchase orders - Search out alternate vendors or supplies during periods or shortages or high demands - Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting purchasing and vendor data and making comparative analyses; monitoring variances; identifying trends; studying proposed changes - Determine cost of transactions and purchase by establishing standard costs and collecting data - Evaluate vendor performance annually - Work closely with Accounts Payable to ensure accuracy of invoices - Help manage utilization of tools by assisting in looking at tools in all locations - Perform daily tasks of MJE Tool Control i establishing work priorities and workflow - Prepare correspondence and reports for key internal and external customers - Ensure the execution of company policies and procedures - Maintain document files in the vault and in the electronic vehicle history files - Assist with all other Tool Control related functions as needed What You'll Bring - Knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices - Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include intermediate to advanced Excel - Ability to work independently and meet deadlines - Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs - Proven communication, organizational, documentation and interpersonal skills - Demonstrated multi-tasking and data entry skills - Excellent computer skills and a working knowledge of JDE - High School diploma, Education beyond High School would be preferred - 1-2 years purchasing procurement or buying experience or along with Microsoft Office or any combination of experience, education or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability required What You'll Get - 401(k) with company match (Traditional & Roth) - Paid Holidays and PTO - Medical, Dental, and Vision - Flexible Spending Accounts - Health Savings Account - Accident Insurance - Hospital Indemnity Insurance - Critical Illness Insurance - LifeLock Identity Theft Protection - Employee Discounts - Short-Term & Long-Term Disability For more benefit details click here! |
