Design Engineer \| Utilimaster \| Bristol, IN (Main) Regular Employee \| Salary Exempt What you'll do: As the Design Engineer for Utilimaster (an Aebi Schmidt Group brand) based at our facility in Bristol, IN, you will be at the forefront of developing innovative engineering solutions that enhance our manufacturing processes and meet and exceed customer expectations. Provide accurate, timely, and cost-effective engineering solutions that meet customer requirements and comply with regulatory standards Solve manufacturing and assembly problems using problem-solving techniques and methodologies Partner with engineering, production, purchasing, and our customers to create optimal solutions Develop solid models and initiate changes to drawings, solid models, and bills of material Utilize Aurora software to research products, spec history, and to ensure product compatibility Apply Lean/Sigma techniques to ensure communization and simplification Create an Engineering tree to comply with customer and vehicle specifications Learn more about The Shyft Group, Utilimaster, and Bristol, IN by exploring the *Learn More* section below. What you need: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSME preferred). Understanding of metal fabrication, forming, tolerances, and capabilities Knowledge of the extrusion process and vehicle design, testing, and certification processes Experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Proficient in ANSI-Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerance Versed in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel Familiar with vehicle regulatory requirements Why The Shyft Group?
