Job Description
Pay Range: 81,450 to 101,825
- Supervise and train wastewater, pallet jack, and building maintenance employees as directed by management in the plant.
- Provide leadership and directions to employees, interface with other department employees.
- Assess and respond to facility maintenance needs.
- General cleaning and/or assisting other crews, when required.
- Maintain safety, housekeeping and sanitation, and GMP requirements while performing job duties.
- Adhere to PSM/RMP compliance and enforce regulatory procedures including but not limited to SPCCA,
- SWPPA, and Wastewater.
- Must be able to call and work closely with contractors when the job requires it.
- Operate and perform maintenance boilers, condensate return systems boiler feed water systems stack economizers, and chemical injections systems for boilers and cooling towers.
- Keep track of the number of people and hours that are involved with each job in progress and after completion of each job while onsite and through SAP.
- Interpret readings on the oxygen trim and boiler flame control systems, making repairs and/or adjustments as required to ensure peak boiler operating efficiency.
- Operate and maintain hot water generation and delivery systems, interpreting pressure and temperature readings and making repairs and or adjustments as required to ensure peak operating efficiency.
- Provide materials and repairs for; forklifts, pallet lifts, sliding and rolling doors, scissors lift, room lift, dock levelers, battery chargers, and associated/other equipment as assigned.
- Provide materials and planning for mechanical maintenance support for the company at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
- Provide materials and planning for general building maintenance and groundskeeping.
Qualifications
- Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
- Must have a minimum of five years' experience in the maintenance field.
- Good communication skills & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with little supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Must be able to troubleshoot and make "on the spot" corrections to emergency situations.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work from a ladder, safely.
- Understand OSHA standard.
- A refrigeration/mechanical test will be administered and utilized to determine the skill level.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, and weekends as required.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
- Must be able to stand for prolong periods (8-10 hours) on a concrete/metal grate floor.
- Must be able to weld and perform mechanical and fabrication tasks.
