Position Description:

As a Sr. Project Manager, you will, under the general direction of the MCW Flourishing Director, manage projects for the department to achieve established goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, directing, controlling and coordinating of project tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the functions of the department with the creation of project-level vision and implementation plans that support MCW Flourishing Aim 2 strategies by deploying project management skills, effective communication, and group facilitation.
  • Assemble and lead project teams of cross-functional experts, assigning individual tasks, securing necessary resources, and meticulously developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure the timely and successful completion of projects.
  • Create and execute project work plans, adjusting them as needed to accommodate changing needs, scope modifications, and evolving project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional policies.
  • Guarantee that all deliverables adhere to the approved project scope and meet the high standards of approved project requirements.
  • Lead and facilitate workgroups and teams, fostering collaboration among cross-departmental and cross-organizational participants.
  • Assign tasks to project team members judiciously, overseeing and ensuring the accurate and timely completion of project assignments.
  • Develop precise project estimates, including hours, duration, cost, and resource allocation, with the support and guidance of department leadership.
  • Craft and oversee effective communication plans that address all aspects of the project and tailoring messaging to suit the diverse needs of project stakeholders.
  • Utilize rigorous project change control procedures to manage project scope, including costs, hours, and project duration, thereby ensuring project success even in the face of shifting circumstances

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities

  • Able to independently manage assigned projects, tasks and workgroups; accurately complete project within budget and by the due date with high customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates a strong background in project management and enforces project management best practices and methodologies.
  • Recognize issues and determine priority. Able to quickly isolate and independently resolve issues utilizing all available resources. Able to proactively prevent issues from occurring again and to anticipate future issues.
  • Effectively communicate in both written and verbal form to customers and management. Able to create comprehensive documentation for all phases of the project.
  • Handle stressful situations in a calm and patient manner. Must maintain a positive attitude in all situations.
  • Able to effectively facilitate small group discussions and meetings.




Preferred Schedule:




Hybrid 60% Virtual 40% Onsite Milwaukee campus Preferred Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm



Position Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum experience: 7 years

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred education: Master's Degree
Preferred experience: Planning, consulting, nonprofit management, or similar experience preferred. Project management certification and/or certification in Appreciative Inquiry. Strategic
