Overview In addition to the Specialist's responsibilities while on the desk, the Senior Specialist will assist in the oversight of CIG specialists at the ECC in their duties of recording system events and notifications of events as they pertain to various internal and external organizations and their preparation and dissemination of all corporate reports. Administer systems used in preparation and dissemination of notifications. Oversee CIG training program. Serve as the System Operation FERC coordinator, with responsibility to monitor systems and processes to ensure compliance with FERC standards of conduct. Represent group at interdepartmental and organizational meetings i.e. with NYCEM, PSC, etc.

Core Responsibilities
- INCIDENT MONITORING & REGUATORY NOTIFICATION: Continuously monitor all major company incidents across the service territory. Ensure timely and accurate notifications are made to regulatory and public agencies such as the Department of Public Service, NERC, DOE, and NYC Emergency Management, as well as to internal stakeholders at all levels, including executives.
- Ensure that Human Performance Improvement (HPI) tools are incorporated into daily work activities.
- Perform periodic audits of Specialists for compliance with existing procedures and protocols.
- Oversee training of new Specialists and other on-the-job training for existing Specialists.
- Assist in administration of the CIG daily work schedule, vacation changes, and other personnel matters.
- Coordinate with all company organizations the reporting requirements needed to make all required notifications as outlined in Corporate Instructions and Procedures.
- Coordinate the operation, testing, and maintenance of ARCOS and Central Information Dashboard communication systems used to make notifications.
- Serve as the System Operation FERC Coordinator. Monitor FERC training compliance for various distribution lists and ensure Walled Employee compliance for FERC related System Operation applications, shared folders, and distribution lists.
- Review and prepare System Operations procedures for the CIG.
- PROCEDURES AND UPDATES AND COMPLIANCE: Review and comment on applicable Corporate Instructions and other Corporate Procedures as they affect CIG.
- Coordinate the Emergency Duty Schedule for various organizations.
- Meet with various company personnel and participate with committees to discuss new systems and processes being introduced to, or which may impact, the CIG Group.
- Assist in providing required documentation for internal and external audits.
- ROTATING SHIFT & SYSTEM EMERGENCY: Be prepared to staff the desk during corporate and other emergencies.
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Communications, Management, Business or related field and 3 years of CIG experience or
- Associate's Degree and 4 years of CIG experience or
- High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of CIG experience
Preferred Education/Experience
Relevant Work Experience
- Must possess a thorough understanding of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's (FERC) Standards of Conduct compliance procedures and must have completed their FERC training. Required
- Must possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Required
- Must possess general computer skills and be proficient in the use Microsoft office. Required
- Must have prior experience conducting training and/or presenting. Required

- Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
- Work rotating shifts, including nights, midnights, weekends and holidays
Additional Physical Demands
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Position requires periods of manning a fixed post and sitting for long periods of time
- Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed
