This position leads and directs a team of professionals and managers in support of enterprise-wide global sourcing initiatives. The Senior Manager is responsible for setting strategic direction, overseeing execution of sourcing strategies, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals across a complex, multi-category global supply base.

  • Support leadership in corporate strategic planning, high-level analysis, complex process/project management, and system enhancements to support global sourcing objectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative, cost-effective global sourcing strategies - both short and long term - that align with corporate goals and deliver sustained business value.
  • Lead complex negotiations with high-value third-party partners, ensuring favorable terms, compliance, and strategic alignment.
  • Serve as a key liaison with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations that influence enterprise-level global sourcing decisions.
  • Oversee development and performance of sourcing professionals, cultivating a high-performing and agile team in support of evolving business needs.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within the sourcing organization.
  • Manage key stakeholders and navigate complex organizations to drive aligned enterprise-wide value.

Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in science / arts or equivalent in business analysis, strategic management, marketing, or other analytical field; degree in supply chain, logistics, finance, mathematics, or quantitative discipline preferred.

Minimum Experience

A minimum of four (4) years managerial experience is required. Eight (8) years professional business experience in analytical/quantitative sourcing activities across multiple complex categories, including program or project management roles. A related advanced degree may offset the experience requirements. Proven leadership experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Outstanding human relations, negotiating and communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to interact effectively with senior leadership. Excellent analytical, process/project management skills. Ability to innovate and produce high quality results and complex global sourcing solutions across multiple categories on a consistent basis.

Preferred Qualifications: *Extensive experience with Category Strategy and Category Management *Strong stakeholder management abilities and proven experience in navigating complex organizational structures *Good financial acumen *Extensive experience with strategic sourcing if possible applied to purchased transportation *Good experience within a sourcing team of any road transportation categories (first / last mile, road linehaul, rail) *Fluent in Spanish and / or Portuguese

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $9,719.96/month - $13,812.57/month.

Additional Details: The desired location for this position will be Memphis, TN, Dallas, TX or Pittsburgh, PA. Depending on your location, you may be required to work at a FedEx Campus several times per week. Relocation may be available.
