Job Summary:

The Treasury Accountant reports to the Treasury Manager and is responsible for assisting with the daily oversight and administration of company bank accounts. In addition, the treasury accountant handles the accounting for bank transaction activity. Various cash management tasks may include assisting with wire transfers, preparing the daily Cash Report, researching bank account transaction activity, and handling various card processing tasks.

Essential Functions:



  • Prepare reconciliation spreadsheets, supporting schedules, and prepare/post GL journal entries
  • Assist in managing the daily cash position and preparing/releasing wire and ACH transactions
  • Prepare branch transfers and schedules for intercompany bank transactions
  • Assist branch locations in bank and merchant card transaction investigations
  • Coordinate with internal departments on bank file submissions for A/P and payroll
  • Process centralized credit card transactions for central pay customers
  • Provide training and assistance to users of banking and merchant products
  • Help maintain PCI Compliance Standards for merchant card transactions
  • Participate in bank relationship discussions and follow ups
  • Assist the Treasury Manager with any other projects
  • Temporarily assume Manager's duties in their absence
  • Other job duties assigned as needed


Qualifications:



  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and have excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP/accounting skills and ability to quickly learn company software
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, and critically think on matters
  • Understands banking concepts and processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Attention to detail and be dependable on tasks assigned
  • 1-3 years' experience in accounting and treasury functions
  • Experience in corporate banking, web portals, and fraud control products


Education Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in financial accounting

Physical Requirements:



  • Sitting, grasping, stooping, lifting up to 25 lbs., standing, walking, writing, speaking, and hearing.
  • Must perform the essential duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation efficiently and accurately.


Environmental Conditions:



  • Typical indoor office environment.


Travel Requirements:


  • Up to one week per year
