Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to develop, optimize, and maintain machining processes and fixtures across both existing and new production programs. This role plays a key part in launching new programs, improving manufacturing efficiency, and reducing costs through lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Champion a culture of safety, modeling best practices for shop floor teams.

* Develop and refine machining fixtures, CNC programs, and process parameters for existing and new production lines.

* Lead or contribute to program launches, from initial setup through to stable production.

* Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cycle time reduction, scrap minimization, and cost savings.

* Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Operations on design for manufacturability and process optimization.

* Analyze and resolve equipment, tooling, and process-related issues in collaboration with plant personnel.

* Support the design and procurement of cutting tools and workholding solutions.

* Conduct root cause analysis, implement corrective actions, and support MRB disposition activities.

* Develop and update work instructions, control plans, and process documentation.

* Interpret CMM reports and adjust machining parameters as necessary.

* Utilize SPC tools, FMEA, and statistical methods to improve and validate process capability.

* Participate in quoting, cost estimation, and tooling ROI analysis.

* Review and influence customer specifications to enhance manufacturability and quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.

* 3+ years of hands-on experience in machining process development, CNC programming, and fixture design.

* Proficient with GD&T, blueprint reading, and mechanical troubleshooting.

* Experience programming and debugging CNC machines (HAAS required; Fanuc on Murata and Mori-Seiki preferred).

* Solid knowledge of machining processes including turning, milling, broaching, drilling, and grinding.

* Familiarity with 2D CAD/CAM systems and the ability to interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.

* Working knowledge of PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and other quality system tools.

* Experience with poka-yoke and mistake-proofing design principles.

* Lean Six Sigma certification or training preferred.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.

* Able to manage multiple projects with effective time management and organizational skills.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

* Primarily office-based with frequent interaction on the shop floor.

* Ability to remain stationary for extended periods; occasionally lift files and tooling.

* Frequent use of computer systems, CNC interface panels, and diagnostic tools.

* Must be capable of troubleshooting and modifying existing CNC programs and machining setups.
