Position Title: Powertrain Project Manager, Lead

Location: Auburn Hills, MI.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.
  • 8+Years experience.
  • Design, development, and program management experience in broad powertrain functions and/or vehicle engineering in any of the following areas: engine, transmission, driveline, packaging, adaptation, controls, or calibration.
  • Demonstrated high leadership, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, and to work with minimal direction (ability to understand and complete next steps without guidance).
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Company product development processes, design validation, Key Process Indicators (KPI), and gate processes.
  • Demonstrated team building skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support for all integration activities and interface for all issues (cost, timing, program planning, launch support, program resolution, etc).
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects.
  • Oversees all aspects of projects.
  • Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
  • Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.
  • Leads and directs the work of others.
  • Responsibilities include program planning, development and maintenance of master timing schedules, project risk assessments, change management, and project integration across the various functional departments.
  • Responsible for program management of all Powertrain Engineering assembly plant end-items (focus on the interfaces with Vehicle Engineering).
