Overview

Assistant Credit Manager will assist the Credit Manager and BMC operations to minimize credit risk of current and potential customers. Manage credit and collection process and will supervise a team of employees.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Manage and support the credit and collection team in the day-to-day operations. Collaborate with the operations group concerning any issues with customers.
  • Collaborate with the Credit team during the Credit Manager's absence, adjusting responsibilities as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Manage, monitor, and pursue collection of customer accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Analyze credit risk associated with delinquent accounts and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Review and approve credit overrides in accordance with company policy.
  • Approve or reject sales orders based on the established credit approval process.
  • Investigate and resolve customer payment issues through research and collaboration.
  • Prepare and present materials for credit meetings and conduct credit training sessions for the organization.
  • Drive increased utilization of CAT Card financing solutions.
  • Ensure BillTrust accuracy and utilization.
  • Manage the lien process to protect company interests and ensure compliance.
  • Support various credit-related functions and projects as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of previous experience in collection of accounts, previous knowledge of extension of credit, loan processing, credit scoring, and risk management required. Banking experience preferred.
  • Previous experience handling bonds, liens, and insurance claims.
  • MS Access, MS Excel, and MS Word experience required.
  • Ability to maintain and project professionalism when working with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage stress in a professional manner. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently of others.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
