Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a qualified Aviation Mission Specialist to coordinate current-day air operations missions and planning activities. This role is responsible for managing day-of-mission schedules, ensuring coordination with relevant aviation units, and supporting operational planning for safe and efficient air operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Coordinate current (duty day) air operations missions and related planning activities

* Liaise with aviation partners, flight crews, and ground personnel to confirm mission details

* Update and maintain real-time mission schedules and status boards

* Ensure mission requirements are clearly communicated and understood across teams

* Support preparation of flight plans, manifests, and documentation

* Monitor mission execution and provide real-time coordination support as needed

* Assist with deconfliction of airspace and mission prioritization

* Contribute to mission briefings and post-mission reviews

* Ensure compliance with aviation safety and operational standards

Basic Qualifications:

* 3+ years of experience in aviation operations or mission coordination

* Strong organizational and communication skills

* Ability to manage time-sensitive information and rapidly changing mission needs

* Knowledge of air operations procedures and aviation planning

* Familiarity with ICS or EOC environments involving aviation components

* Must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience supporting aviation operations in emergency response settings

* Familiarity with FAA regulations and air mission planning systems

* Experience using mission tracking software or real-time coordination tools

* Military or FEMA air operations background

* Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)

* Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment

Working Environment:

The usual work environment is an EOC, air operations center, or field setting at a location determined by assignment. The role may involve proximity to aircraft and aviation operations, as well as extended work hours beyond 12 hours per day. Travel regularly includes locations throughout the continental United States and its territories.
