Various Locations Position Summary:
Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a qualified Aviation Load Planner to support aircraft loading operations during emergency missions. This role is responsible for coordinating with SERT partners to ensure aircraft payloads are planned and executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate with SERT partners to plan aircraft payloads based on mission requirements
* Ensure all aircraft loading operations are conducted safely and efficiently
* Verify cargo weight, balance, and configuration meet aircraft specifications and safety standards
* Communicate load requirements with flight crews and logistics personnel
* Prepare and review load plans, manifests, and related documentation
* Support field loading and unloading operations as needed
* Track and report on aircraft payload status during missions
* Assist in developing standard operating procedures for aviation load planning
* Ensure compliance with federal, military, and aviation regulations regarding aircraft
cargo
Basic Qualifications:
* 3+ years of work experience in aviation load planning or aircraft cargo coordination
* Knowledge of cargo weight and balance procedures and safety protocols
* Strong communication and coordination skills
* Ability to work in high-pressure, mission-critical environments
* Familiarity with SERT, ICS, or EOC operations involving aviation logistics
* Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting emergency response or disaster missions with aviation components
* Knowledge of military or FEMA air operations procedures
* Familiarity with air cargo documentation systems and tracking tools
* Certification in load planning or aviation safety practices

* Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment
Working Environment:
The usual work environment is in an EOC, hangar, or field setting at a location determined by assignment. The role may involve physical activity related to cargo handling, exposure to outdoor/austere conditions, and operation near aircraft. Travel includes locations throughout the continental United States and its territories. Duties may involve extended work periods beyond 12 hours per day.
