Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Transplant Data Manger is responsible for the management and oversight of data governance: collection, analysis, reporting, and design for the multi-organ Transplant Center, a service line within UCDMC hospital; the Department of Internal Medicine, a division involved in solid organ transplant programs; and the Department of Surgery, a division involved in solid organ transplant programs.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position
- Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Health Science, Healthcare Management, Public Health, or related area and / or equivalent combination of experience / training.
- Minimum of 5 years' management/supervisory experience in a multi-organ transplant cente
- Minimum of 5 years' management/supervisory experience in a multi-disciplinary practice.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in related data and/or regulatory management.
- Experience in the management and administration of community based primary care practice, and/or a hospital based primary care or specialty practice. This includes experience in managing operation relating to multiple site practice groups and multi-disciplinary medical specialties.
- Experience and proven success in knowledge of the methods, tools, and practices involved with regulatory compliance.
- Experience in applying performance improvement methodology.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and present reports and convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to integrate the understanding of the Health System's mission, commitments and projects within a service-oriented health care environment.
- Ability to incorporate knowledge of Join Commission and Title 22 rules and regulations to assure that programs and operation are in compliance.
- Analytical skills to effectively understand large amounts of complex medical, administrative and fiscal information, and ability to absorb such information to make timely and thoughtful decisions.
- Excellent organizational skills to determine workload priorities to enable timely completion of tasks. Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure with little to no direction.
- Knowledge of business and management principles, and of data structures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to express ideas assertively, clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with others to secure necessary information and cooperation from a variety of people.

Department Overview
The Transplant Center is a UCDH-designated clinical center responsible for the centralized administrative and clinical management and coordination of solid organ pre and post-transplant and living donor patient care. The Program serves UCDH patients requiring solid organ transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery and dialysis access services
Department Specific Job Scope
Functional responsibilities of the Transplant Data Manager include but are not limited to: data management and oversight of compliance with regulatory data reporting requirements; oversight of the design and implementation of tools, processes and monitors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards; collaboration with IT to incorporate regulatory workflows in clinical systems; management multi-million-dollar projects with outside vendors (HLA labs, EPIC-products, and other quality vendors); collaboration with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate channels and assists in maintaining compliance with agencies specifically related to transplant, including CMS, OPTN, and the ESRD Network. The manager has the opportunity to leverage creativity and innovation to enhance the current program and participate in growth of future programs.
