Job Summary:
Seeking an individual with experience in installation,
assembly, commissioning, and service of cryogenic and non-cryogenic application
equipment, cylinder and bulk storage systems, and gas distribution piping.
Essential
Functions:
Work independently and under supervision of Project Engineer/Manager.
Review scope of work documents, engineering specifications and plans, process schematics, and Bill of Materials.
Rig in place, install, assemble, startup, repair and service machinery and equipment used in industrial gas applications at customer sites: freezers; gas mixers; flow, pressure and temperature control systems; blowers, pumps, and compressors; process water chillers; gas purifiers; and analytical and gas detection equipment.
Perform pipe-fitting and install interconnecting piping.
Performs other duties as assigned

Education:
High Diploma or GED Required
Associate's Degree in a technical field preferred
Experience:
4-6 years Service Technician with Industrial Gases Company
required
10+ years plant maintenance required
Knowledge,
Skills, and Abilities
Ability to follow engineering instructions and specifications, and read blueprints and Bills of Materials
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Knowledge of PLCs is a plus.
Ability to operate typical hand held power tools such as saws, drills, and grinders.
Ability to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting tasks with minimum supervision.
Familiarity with cryogenic and non-cryogenic systems, including: Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, CO2, Hydrogen, and Helium is a plus.
Familiarity with rotating machinery.
Ability to operate a forklift or be trained on forklift operation.
Licenses and Certifications:
Vocational training in any of the following field:
refrigeration, automotive, plumbing, electrician, or aviation required
Brazing or welding certification or knowledge of general
brazing and welding techniques and equipment preferred
