Providence is calling for Donor Engagement Program Manager \Hybrid

Under the leadership of the director of donor engagement - communications and brand, the program manager maintains complex schedules, diverse vendor relationships and print/media specifications in a fast-paced environment and across print, digital and social channels for both internal and external audiences - ensuring all communications align with Providence (and its affiliated) brand, style and quality standards.

Core duties include creating and maintaining production schedules, overseeing print process, reconciling monthly account billings and working collaboratively with project managers and creative staff to ensure projects are successfully delivered on time.

Success requires exceptional communication, traffic/printer management and collaboration skills, and expertise in multi-channel campaigns. The program manager is a seasoned producer with expertise in trafficking and print management, electronic communications, social media and multi-channel campaign development.

The program manager is part of the creative services team and collaborates with teams across multiple foundations, communications colleagues and other internal partners. The role is mostly remote but offers hybrid work potential in the Portland, Oregon area.

Essential Functions:

Creative Management: Creative problem solver. Understands the creative process, how to best traffic and produce brand-led, high-quality work in partnership with creative colleagues and internal clients.

Print Management: Uses industry knowledge to build relationships, ensure cost competitiveness and achieve quality results from external vendors.

Brand Stewardship: Helps ensure a consistent brand quality for Providence philanthropy communications, understanding adjustments required to reflect local needs and audiences

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Works closely with internal stakeholders in donor engagement and external stakeholders to ensure work is being produced to quality standards and delivered both on-time and on-budget.

Mission Alignment: Contribute to the Providence Mission by advancing programs and initiatives that improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

Job specific knowledge, skills and abilities



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and responsive team player
  • Ability to manage and traffic multiple projects at one time and work well under deadlines
  • Project management software experience (Trello, Asana, Monday, or equivalent)
  • Experience working in an agency, marketing or communications environment
  • Strong printer relations skills, understanding of print production and press checking experience
  • Experience working within corporate brand guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience and track record in working successfully with key stakeholders in a collaborative manner


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or liberal Arts or equivalent educ/experience


Preferred qualifications:



  • Demonstrated ability to excel in remote work environment
  • Experience working in health care or at a nonprofit
  • Digital Asset Manager software experience
