Responsibilities Program and Position Description: This program provides SETA (Systems Engineering Technical Advisor) & SE&I (Systems Engineering & Integration) services to an IC customer with a focus on acquisition and operations of a system providing assured space communications and supporting IT infrastructure. The contract support is part of the customer core team focused on all aspects of the systems life cycle including CONOPS development, capturing requirements, working with developers to deliver capability, testing to ensure capabilities meet requirements, transition to operations and operations support. The program also supports innovations/technology development, provides acquisition and project management support to government program managers. As an junior/entry level position, on the job training will be provided by co-workers and team leads to ensure appropriate level assignments are provided to ensure success. Specific position description: This position provides systems engineering and project management support to the government customer, participating in many different aspects of the engiineering life cycle. Initially the focus will be to supporting the customer's Engineering Division by managing the Office's Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). This will provide a good introduction to project management and an opportunity to gain deeper insight into the many different mission systems this customer provides to their stakeholders and users. After 6 to 12 months, there will be an opportunity to transition to another part of the program to gain additional experience and skills focused on other aspects of systems acquisition and systems engineering. Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is a growing need for this customer and this position will include the opportunity to support the MBSE efforts as we transition to a digital engineering toolset over the next couple years.
