Job Family Description

Maintenance/production personnel support the operational success of nuclear and non-nuclear facilities, buildings, systems, and shops. Professionals in these roles are responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of equipment, machinery, and production processes to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards.

Discipline Description

Professionals in site services infrastructure provide various support functions to manage and maintain the physical facilities and systems that support operations. They provide operations and maintenance for site utility systems (steam, electrical, sanitary wastewater, fire water, domestic water, process water, etc.) roads, bridges, lakes, dams, outfalls, and railways. They perform fire systems operations, maintenance, and testing, and ventilation and HEPA filter testing. They supply and maintain Site Leased Portable Equipment. They perform Crane and Rigging support and oversight of the Site Hoisting and Rigging Program, railroad operations and maintenance, site fleet and fuel management services, transportation services, ground maintenance and herbicide, trucking, and waste removal.

Some Typical Duties & Responsibilities Include:

The First Line Manager will provide overall authority and responsibility for the direction and control of Site Services mechanical teams. Will oversee all major evolutions undertaken by assigned personnel to ensure
maintenance activities are safely conducted according to approved procedures and work execution documents. Will provide ownership of the mechanical maintenance schedule, providing scheduling expertise
and speaking to the assigned work group tasks each week.

- Oversee maintenance work on sanitary sewer systems, process water systems, domestic water systems, biomass cogeneration facility, steam lines, river water pumps and systems, fire water pumps and systems
- Manage and supervise Site Services personnel
- Responsible for maintaining knowledge on existing systems as they are modified, new procedures and learning new systems as they are installed.
- Responsible for meeting day-to-day needs of multiple customers
- Responsible for authorization and initiation of work release for jobs in area of responsibility
- Making timely, informative notifications when required by facility events and procedures.
- Initiate emergency actions as necessary to prevent or mitigate the consequences of an abnormal event and placing the work activity in a safe, stable condition following the event.
- Performing periodic facility tours and logbook reviews to ensure good conduct of operations
- Identifying housekeeping and facility material condition deficiencies to the appropriate team for corrective actions
- Ensuring personnel are trained and fit for duty to perform the assigned job responsibility
- Lead assigned team-based assessments and develop appropriate corrective action plans.
- Consistently perform BBS observations, management field observations (MFOs) and assigned self-assessments as required.

Required Qualifications

* Five or more years of experience (YOE) as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed, OR Associate's Degree in relevant field plus three or more years of experience (YOE) as an individual contributor in one or more of the roles managed
* Equivalencies to experience and education requirements will be considered

We'd Also Like to See

SRS Maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge of equipment operation, process systems, safety policies and procedures; as well as knowledge in the mechanical, electrical, and chemical fields. Comprehensive knowledge of Site Infrastructure systems or Site Services Operations. An in-depth knowledge of industrial Operating proficiency, principles, Conduct of Ops principles, regulations, and procedure requirements. Good written and oral communication skills. An in-depth knowledge of Manual 1Y 8.20 work control procedure. Working knowledge of MWP and Asset Suite.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
