Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following (other duties may be assigned) 1. Administer the Maintenance Training Program and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for training of all employees, with an emphasis on maintenance personnel. 2. Promote understanding of the established policies and procedures of the Maintenance and Engineering Department, Training & Development Department, and Aloha Air Cargo. 3. Introduce and disseminate new industry methods and procedures that enhance safety and productivity. 4. Provide technical assistance in support of quality improvement initiatives, aircraft upgrades, and operational goals. 5. Design and develop training curriculum that increases knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance procedures. 6. Schedule and coordinate contract maintenance training services and vendor customer training services as required to meet training objectives. 7. Utilize courses and other related training materials for currency with company policy & regulatory compliance. 8. Identify maintenance personnel for training and coordinate with managers and supervisors to schedule individuals and ensure attendance. 9. Maintain a training records system for Aloha Air Cargo maintenance personnel and contract maintenance providers personnel (excluding OMPs). 10. Schedule and coordinate training facilities, audio-visual aids, aircraft, and ground equipment to support scheduled classes. 11. Provide periodic training and qualification status reports for Maintenance and Engineering Department staff and contract maintenance providers. 12. Shall be responsible for additional duties delegated by the Director - Training & Security. Minimum Requirements: * High School diploma or equivalent. * Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P). * Valid driver's license. * Five (5) years as an aircraft maintenance instructor. * Five (5) years experience as an A&P mechanic or avionics technician. * Three (3) years supervisory experience. * Intermediate Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint). Other Requirements and Preferences: * Excellent communication skills with the ability to work flexible shifts and occasional travel required. * Five (5) years Boeing 737 classic maintenance experience preferred. * Five (5) years experience as an A&P mechanic or avionics technician in heavy jet aircraft maintenance highly desirable.
