Job Description

The School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics are pleased to announce the opening for a Finance & Accounting Analyst. The ideal candidate will play an instrumental role in the success of sustaining our department's mission and goals for our Pre-Award Grant Team.

Detailed Description:
* Prepare and submit grant proposals, including large, complex proposals with many intricate details
* Stay up to date on university policies and procedures directly related to state and federal funding regulations
* Acquire, maintain, and interpret up-to-date knowledge of funding submission modes, mechanisms, and deadlines
* Interpret and communicate sponsor guidelines, University policy and procedures, state and federal law, and industry best practices to PIs, and department/college administrators to ensure compliance with sponsor and University Policies.
* Analyze, interpret, and develop recommendations to research faculty for proposal submissions based upon sponsor and university requirements
* Demonstrate an understanding of the importance and value in providing exceptional customer service to all PIs
* Other duties as assigned

Shift

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $22 - $27 hourly
Grade: GGS - 009
