Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:



  • Ensures a safe and healthy work environment and facilitates continuous improvement in safety, health, and environmental endeavors. Pursues residual risk reduction in all functional areas.
  • Supports all activities in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and food safety management system.
  • Report any quality and/or food safety problems to personnel of authority to initiate action.
  • Manages a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Balances safety, quality, and productivity to achieve positive results in all areas.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate manufacturing activities including the design, construction, modification, performance and maintenance of equipment and machinery.
  • Manage capital projects and activities.
  • Manage contractors and vendors.
  • Manage facility and grounds maintenance.
  • Develops and maintains preventative maintenance schedules and activities.
  • Ensures effective employee relations.
  • Resolves employee issues through problem resolution.
  • Provides coaching and counseling to maintenance team members.
  • Provides support to operations to increase machine uptime and productivity throughout the plant.
  • Drives continuous improvement activities.
  • Supports and maintains all activities related to Food Safety Management system.
  • Provides daily work assignments to maintenance team members.
  • Conducts performance reviews on all maintenance team members.
  • Enforces all plant policies and procedures.
  • Enforces all plant and department safety rules.
  • Manages department performance and report result as directed by facility management.
  • Manages daily goal setting to achieve maximum machine uptime and productivity.
  • Audits safety, quality and environmental housekeeping procedures.
  • Monitors department performance and ensures barriers are identified and actions assigned.
  • Manages training and continuous education to ensure proper skill level throughout the maintenance department.
  • Ensures departmental Master Cleaning schedules, checklist, and audits related to the Food Safety Management system are completed as required.
  • Upholds all ethical standards associated with safety, quality and food safety policies and procedures within the facility, including the TC Transcontinental Code of Conduct and Values.
  • Complies with all the standards that are followed in the TC Tulsa plant, including, but not limited to - Safety, Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Food (SQF) and any other processes established within the TC Tulsa plant.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned.


Qualifications

  • Completion of a relevant bachelor's degree, an engineering diploma OR a certified trade with a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent, may be considered.
  • Proven track record of success in the plastic industry.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience managing a medium sized maintenance team.
