The University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL), a proud member of NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), is seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional for the position of Head Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach and Coordinator of Game Operations. This full-time role combines leadership of the university's cross country programs with responsibilities supporting the planning and execution of game day operations for the athletics department.

Primary Responsibilities:

Head Cross Country Coach Duties:

• Direct all aspects of the men's and women's cross country programs, including training, competition, recruiting, and student-athlete development.
• Foster a positive team culture focused on academic success, integrity, and competitive excellence.
• Oversee practice and competition schedules, travel planning, and budget management.
• Maintain compliance with NCAA, GLVC, and UMSL regulations and standards.
• Promote engagement within the campus and broader community through outreach and service.

Coordinator of Game Day Operations Duties:

• Assist in the planning and execution of game day operations for home athletic events in winter and spring.
• Support event setup, in-game logistics, and post-event breakdown.
• Collaborate with facilities, officials, visiting teams, and internal staff to ensure smooth and professional event execution.
• Help coordinate staffing, including student workers and event personnel.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for student-athletes, fans, and all stakeholders.

A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 6 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

• Experience coaching at the NCAA level
• Familiarity with NCAA Division II rules and recruiting procedures
• Demonstrated commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes

Salary Range: $65,000
Grade: GGS- MKT
