Insurance Coordinator - Transplant and Cellular Therapy

Under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and Patient Access Service Supervisor I, the AA III Insurance Coordinator facilitates all aspects of the insurance approval process for stem cell donors and stem cell and CAR-T recipients.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• initiation of patient transplant referral
• review of benefit verification
• coordination of recipient prescreening
• documentation of relevant information in the transplantdatabase and CareConnect

Required:

• Excellent critical thinking and prioritization skills

Preferred:

• Previous experience submitting referrals and obtaining insurance authorizations for hematology-oncology patients
• Previous experience working w/ EMR, Epic or CareConnect
