Summary
The Core Platform Manager ensures stability, security, and optimal performance of Summit Credit Union's core banking platform. This role supports internal stakeholders by maintaining platform functionality, managing vendor relationships, supporting updates, and troubleshooting system issues. They collaborate closely with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the system meets operational, regulatory, and strategic objectives. This is a highly specialized role requiring deep platform expertise and technical acumen, while delivering exceptional service. Core Platform Manager will be responsible for on-call duties and incident response outside of regular business hours

  • Efficient system performance and availability is maintained through timely upgrades and preventative maintenance of the SilverLake platform
  • Internal stakeholders experience prompt, accurate, and effective resolution of system issues, enhancing operational reliability.
  • Core system modifications, parameter updates, and configurations are executed with high attention to detail and in compliance with IT governance.
  • Security standards and change management procedures are strictly adhered to, minimizing risk and maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Vendor relationships are managed effectively, ensuring clear communication, timely escalations, and successful project implementations.
  • Comprehensive and prompt support is ensured for audits, documentation, and system reporting requirements to facilitate risk management and uphold transparency.

Capability Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Three or more years administering Jack Henry SilverLake or comparable core banking platform
  • Seven or more years of relevant professional experience; or combination of applicable work experience and education.
  • Advanced understanding of core processing systems, database structures, and system integration.
  • Experience with system performance tuning, scripting, and automation tools.
  • Strong incident response, escalation management, problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills.
  • Effective communicator able to translate complex technical issues into plain language for non-technical stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Familiarity with financial regulatory requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), and Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) guidelines.
  • Have or able to attain Jack Henry SilverLake administration certification within the first year of employment.
  • Proficient with Jack Henry SilverLake, Symitar, SQL, PowerShell, API tools and enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds).
  • Solid foundational knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, including networking concepts, databases, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and information security principles.
  • Strong background in Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, with proven experience participating in iterative development cycles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading functional and technical requirements gathering, process mapping, and delivering user-centered solutions in cross-functional settings.
  • Skilled in data analysis, systems integration, and automation tools to enhance business operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel, Visio, and project documentation capabilities.
