DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Custodial Worker 1, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of various areas. Common hospital housekeeping duties include mopping, vacuuming, and sweeping floors; cleaning windows; dusting furniture; and properly disposing of waste. You will also be responsible for restocking supplies and ensuring that bathrooms are well-maintained, as well as stocking clean linens and distributing them in designated areas. Additionally, you may be required to refinish floors and perform deep cleaning of rooms as needed. Your dedication to maintaining a clean environment is essential in achieving our goal of providing quality health care and promoting wellness for all.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Free parking
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime is required, as needed.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
