Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a Staff Attorney to join the Mass Torts Practice Group in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
This position will involve working in an active and dynamic practice that touches all aspects of litigation including discovery, depositions, and motions practice. The candidate will have autonomy to handle assigned cases while at the same time having access to the knowledge and experience of seasoned litigators. The litigators in the Mass Torts Practice Group frequently collaborate to analyze and strategize how to handle each case. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively and cooperatively with paralegals, legal practice assistants, and staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous law firm experience involving tort, personal injury, and/or complex litigation matters, pre-trial discovery experience, strong background in scientific and technical issues, and regulatory submissions and compliance experience
  • Skill, knowledge, and ability to conduct research and apply laws, court decisions, and rules of evidence and procedure in order to defend clients and reach a successful resolution of each matter
  • Excellent law school and undergraduate academic credentials
  • Candidates seeking the role of trusted advisor to corporate clients with wide ranging legal and regulatory needs.
  • Licensed in North Carolina, be willing to take the next available North Carolina Bar Exam, or be eligible to seek admission without examination
  • Willing to travel for court appearances and other proceedings as necessary
