The future is now, Willdan is "Envisioning the Future" of Building & Safety through our work with cities, buildings, and transportation. Public Agency Resources (PARS), a subsidiary of Willdan Group Inc., has a current opening for a certified Energy Inspector in the Philadelphia, PA area. The Inspector shall be responsible for inspecting commercial, residential, and industrial properties during and after construction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for reviewing submitted construction documents and performing inspections for projects in which the designer has chosen to implement ANSI/ASHRAE/IESNA 90.1 standard per IECC C401.2 as the compliance method.
  • Inspecting and analyzing building envelopes.
  • HVAC systems, heating systems, electrical, plumbing and all other aspects of building characteristics that may be considered for home improvement, with an emphasis on energy efficiency.
  • Performing inspections of work completed by contractors to ensure quality and completion.
  • Observe work performed for compliance and assure all work is accomplished this includes accessing attics and crawlspaces.
  • Utilizing knowledge of international Mechanical and Building Codes.
  • Attending training to obtain certification requirements, learn new innovative technology and incorporate new methods in our delivery of weatherization services.
  • Follow up on phone calls and compliant issues.
  • Handle customer service issues for walk-ins that need clarification on code-related issues.
  • Maintain awareness of new developments in the field of inspections; incorporate new developments as appropriate into programs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • UCC Certified Energy Inspector.
  • Proficient with ASHRAE 90.1
