Shipping and Receiving Technician

LaForce is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Receiving & Shipping Technician to join our Detroit, MI team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for organizing, labeling, and palletizing door hardware for the correct job-ensuring our projects run smoothly and efficiently. What You'll Do

• Receive and check in a variety of items, including hardware, doors, frames, and specialty products.
• Label and separate hardware according to job-specific receiving sheets.
• Palletize, shrink wrap, and stage materials for upcoming jobs.
• Operate a forklift and handle shipping logistics, including UPS hardware processing.
• Re-key locks, cut and stamp keys.
• Manage returns, process pick lists and bill of ladings using our computer system.
• Coordinate the daily truck schedule and assist with occasional deliveries.
  
  

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized and willing to jump right in - ideally, with a high school diploma or GED, and some experience in material handling. You should feel comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and moving frequently throughout your shift, and experience operating a forklift (or willing to be trained). Additionally, we value a willingness to learn and adapt, including becoming proficient with LaForce software and computer systems to help streamline operations. You'll need to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
