This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes.

As a Senior Quality Engineer supporting Quality Operations, you will be trusted to provide quality oversight and leadership across engineering and manufacturing processes. This role ensures compliance with internal procedures and external regulatory standards, supports validation and change control activities, and drives continuous improvement in product and process quality.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Represent Quality in cross-functional engineering and manufacturing meetings.
  • Provide oversight for validation activities, including matrixed validation approaches, attribute inspections, and exception handling.
  • Review and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), Product/Process Changes (PPCs), and validation documentation (URS/FRS, SDD, IOQ, PQ, etc.).
  • Serve as Quality approver for simple to moderate systems.
  • Ensure adherence to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Data Integrity (DI) standards.
  • Act as Quality approver on Change Control Boards.
  • Facilitate and train others in quality systems such as non-conformance, change control, and risk management.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve critical investigations and engineering changes.
  • Serve as a role model for company values and behaviors.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
