Overview of Responsibilities: Oversees the daily operational aspects of the teller line by maintaining alignment with MSGCU's policies and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations while delivering exceptional member service. Accurately completes teller transactions, identifies member needs, and cross sells beneficial products and services to deepen member relationships.
- Member Service: Exceeds member service expectations and builds trusting relationships with members by being the financial expert and shows a sincere interest in the member and their financial success. Actively engages with the branch team to ensure members are served efficiently and promptly. Assists members with problem resolution by using MSGCU service standards and Creating Member Loyalty (CML) skills.
- Branch Operations: Performs all duties related to teller operations including opening and closing, completing cash requests, daily balancing, resolving out of balance incidents, maintaining cash funds through a proper supply of vault cash, and authorizing transaction overrides to maintain service excellence. Conducts branch audits and prepares monthly audit reports while ensuring adherence to all security-related procedures, including, robbery, fraud, opening/closing of branch, and cash controls.
- Teller Transactions: Follows MSGCU's service standards to complete teller transactions and balance drawer and checks at end of day. Teller transactions include, but are not limited to: cashing checks, processing deposits and withdrawals, making member payments, processing certificate of deposit transactions, and member account maintenance.
- Cross-Selling: Generates member referrals by using a consultative approach and asking high impact questions to identify and meet member perceived and unperceived needs. Listens for member cues and uses in depth knowledge of MSGCU's products and services in order to cross sell and offer solutions for member needs by focusing on the benefits and value to the member.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED; and
- 1 year of financial institution experience as a teller including vault and ATM balancing or retail experience as a cash lead with cash handling oversight.
Working Conditions:
- Office and branch location environment with little discomfort from noise, extreme temperature, dust, or other factors.
- Occasionally required to travel throughout MSGCU's service area as business needs require.
- Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, such as robbery. Receives detailed instructions and security procedures on an annual basis to minimize risk.
This work involves sitting most of the time with brief periods of walking or standing and may occasionally require lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salaries are just the starting point for MSGCU team members. - Base hourly pay begins at $18.25 / hour
