The Credit Analyst team (Fundamental Strategies Group, FSG) works closely with the credit trading teams in evaluating opportunities and in search of attractive investment ideas for internal and external consideration. Analysts will build financial models, perform fundamental credit and trading technical analysis, and conduct due diligence, all towards developing executable trade recommendations. Responsibilities / Qualifications:
- Analyzing credit opportunities and developing investment theses, based upon quantitative and qualitative diligence, including through thorough analysis of financial performance and construction of cash flow and valuation models
- Producing commentary on single-name credit opportunities and the market more broadly for a variety of internal and external audiences
- Liaising with clients, investors, and internal groups to achieve commercial outcomes
- Leveraging a deep understanding of numerous companies to develop industry expertise
- Presenting investment theses and risk analyses to senior leaders
- Applying an understanding of business performance and the law and process to evaluate scenarios
- Assisting in the management of risk across corporate bonds and credit derivatives
Preferred Qualifications
- At least [4-7] years' experience in financial services, with sales / trading experience preferred
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving ability and experience, including in asset management, investment banking, trading, or research
- Past credit experience is ideal, but open to equity and IBD experience as well
- Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and work well under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150000-$300000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
