As an Analyst on our Client Portfolio Manager (CPM) team within Fixed Income, you will be a key driver of client engagement, marketing, and product development for our fixed income strategies. Collaborating with portfolio managers, traders, salespeople, and financial advisors, you will lead the commercial impact of taxable and tax-exempt solutions, deliver insightful market perspectives, develop impactful marketing content, and ensure exceptional client service. This role demands a highly organized, detail-oriented team-player with excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You should be passionate about the markets, capable of mastering new concepts quickly, comfortable engaging with financial advisors and clients, and excited to join an established business.

Responsibilities:



  • Subject Matter Expertise & Leadership: Serve as a subject matter expert on GSAM's Fixed Income Solutions investment strategies. Demonstrate a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and market trends.
  • Client Communication & Relationship Management: Act as a point of contact for sales teams and financial advisors, proactively addressing inquiries related to portfolio positioning, performance, market outlook, and product platform.
  • Marketing & Content Strategy: Assist with the development and execution of compelling marketing materials, including pitchbooks, presentations, commentaries, and website content. Drive the creation of thematic content that highlights our investment expertise and differentiates our Fixed Income strategies.
  • Sales Leadership & Client Acquisition: Partner with senior sales leaders to present our Fixed Income strategies to prospective clients, effectively articulating our investment philosophy, process, and performance track record. Assist with client meetings, conference calls, and due diligence sessions.
  • Market Intelligence & Investment Strategy: Continuously monitor and analyze fixed income markets, economic indicators, and competitor strategies to identify opportunities and inform portfolio positioning. Contribute to the development of investment insights and market commentary and provide input on investment strategy.
  • Collaboration & Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with portfolio managers, strategists, and engineers on various team-related strategic projects, including product development, platform enhancements, and process optimization. Lead strategic initiatives to enhance the growth and efficiency of the Fixed Income platform.
  • Education & Training: Educate internal and external audiences on our focused products, providing training and support to enhance their understanding of our investment strategies.
  • Product Development & Market Research: Work with the investment team to identify product development opportunities that align with market trends and client needs. Conduct competitive analyses, peer group analyses, and overall market research to inform product development and marketing strategies.



Qualifications:



  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a strong focus on fixed income.
  • In-depth understanding of fixed income markets, including taxable and municipal bonds.
  • Exceptional verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex investment concepts to diverse audiences, including senior management and clients.
  • Expert PowerPoint skills, with the ability to create visually appealing and informative presentations that effectively convey complex information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Highly self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to learn and retain new concepts and adapt to changing market conditions.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses (required).


Salary Range

The expected base salary for this Chicago, Illinois, United States-based position is $70000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
