SUMMARY

DAWSON is looking for the next Travel and Management Coordinator for Customs and Border Protection Professional Services Support Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM) located in Washington, D.C. The Travel and Management Coordinator will serve as the single point of contact (POC) for the making, changing, cancelling travel and transportation arrangements. This position reports to the OFAM Senior Consultant and reports all travel related CBP requirements, including all travel submission vouchers for government employees, as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Commute to Washington DC. Office twice (2x) per week
  • Manages all required travel operations, coordinating itineraries, and overseeing vendor relationships
  • Provides oversight of various travel accommodations, arranging transportation, and ensuring compliance with CBP travel policies and procedures
  • Lead teams in the planning process, collaborate with various departments to understand travel needs and requirements, receive and process travel request forms
  • Provides excellent customer service to travelers within the CBP organization
  • Ensures that the planning, booking and management of travel is scheduled in accordance with (IAW) CBP rules and regulations for clients and IAW the FAR for DAWSON/Teaming contractor support
  • Exercises a proactive approach that positively contributes significantly to the overall efficiency and success of the company's travel initiatives.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Must be able to obtain a CBP Public Trust Clearance - Current CBP clearance is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in travel or business and/or 6 + years of government transportation, or related field

  • Frequently required to stand.

  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity for daily activities, to include driving
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl.
  • Frequently required to talk or hear.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include: Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
