Are you ready to take on a dynamic and multifaceted role that challenges your leadership and organizational skills? Join our team as the Interim Operations Manager at our Elizabeth Warehouse office. You will be the driving force behind the seamless planning and coordination of daily operations across our Facilities, Warehouse, and Delivery sectors. Your expertise will ensure the efficient distribution of products and foster positive employee relations, especially in the absence of our full-time Manager of Operations. In this role, you will manage the daily operations of our Elizabeth Warehouse and oversee inventory for all New Jersey locations. You will be responsible for scheduling and workforce planning, ensuring that our warehouse and delivery needs are met while also coordinating coverage for absences. Your negotiation skills will come into play as you partner with vendors to secure the best pricing on products and services. You will also oversee inventory management, including the proper disposal of spoilage and breakage. Your leadership will extend to a diverse team of warehouse, delivery, and office staff. You will ensure compliance with laws and regulations, implement policies, and maintain positive relationships with union and non-union employees in adherence to Collective Bargaining Agreements. Collaborating closely with the full-time Manager of Operations and Human Resources, you will identify, assess, and develop talent within the team. Your role will also involve managing, coaching, and disciplining employees when necessary. You will be responsible for preparing and communicating warehouse and delivery statistics to senior leadership, handling non-routine customer and operational issues, and maintaining facility upkeep.
