Are you ready to take on a dynamic and multifaceted role that challenges your leadership and organizational skills? Join our team as the Interim Operations Manager at our Elizabeth Warehouse office. You will be the driving force behind the seamless planning and coordination of daily operations across our Facilities, Warehouse, and Delivery sectors. Your expertise will ensure the efficient distribution of products and foster positive employee relations, especially in the absence of our full-time Manager of Operations.

In this role, you will manage the daily operations of our Elizabeth Warehouse and oversee inventory for all New Jersey locations. You will be responsible for scheduling and workforce planning, ensuring that our warehouse and delivery needs are met while also coordinating coverage for absences. Your negotiation skills will come into play as you partner with vendors to secure the best pricing on products and services. You will also oversee inventory management, including the proper disposal of spoilage and breakage.

Your leadership will extend to a diverse team of warehouse, delivery, and office staff. You will ensure compliance with laws and regulations, implement policies, and maintain positive relationships with union and non-union employees in adherence to Collective Bargaining Agreements. Collaborating closely with the full-time Manager of Operations and Human Resources, you will identify, assess, and develop talent within the team. Your role will also involve managing, coaching, and disciplining employees when necessary.

You will be responsible for preparing and communicating warehouse and delivery statistics to senior leadership, handling non-routine customer and operational issues, and maintaining facility upkeep. Safety is a priority, and you will oversee the safety program and training to ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations.

What You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience in operations management reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of experience in operations management reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Supervisory or management experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of distribution, warehousing, customer service.
  • Experienced in union environments and contract negotiations.
  • Experience working with cross functional teams.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Compensation:
  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $55.70 - $83.50 / Hourly.
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
