Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position.

Position Summary:

The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Post Sale Specialist is a technical position which provides product and software knowledge to customers for all post sale transactions. The NDT Post Sale Specialist is involved in a variety of customer-centric activities ranging from hands on installations, remote troubleshooting, maintenance/wellness visits, and order processing. This is a dynamic role that bridges the gap between customers and internal functions including Sales, Service, R&D, and Manufacturing as this person often provides the 'voice of the customer' (VOC) to the Sales and R&D teams either directly or via their leadership team.

Employees in this role are detail-oriented, highly responsive (via phone and digital communication), and comfortable working directly with customers both independently and collaboratively to support strategic post-sale initiatives. People in this role are often developing professionals who exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

This position requires significant travel: 70-100% (Central/Mountain/Pacific time zones) and may need to provide support to customers outside of conventional work hours to meet customer needs.

Position Responsibilities:

Customer-Facing Activities:



  • Deliver both in-person and virtual training on Carestream's NDT product portfolio and ensure end-users can use the applications effectively.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of NDT software, including Industrex software, and provide initial installations and configurations, updates, technique optimization, customization, and hardware integration at customer locations as well as remotely when applicable.
  • Ensures that client's needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification.
  • Provide ongoing technical and applications support and troubleshooting to customers.
  • May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
  • Conduct follow-up product installations and training sessions as needed.
  • Assesses NDT applications to ensure the product is meeting the customer needs
  • Monitor the various applications' performance and usage
  • Identifying opportunities for improving how applications are used
  • Recommend upgrades or new features as customers' needs evolve.
  • Provide feedback regarding product specifications to leadership for development and implementation of client solutions.
  • Maintain and update customer training records and schedules.
  • Perform on-site and in-lab preventive maintenance services as needed.
  • Handle other customer-facing initiatives and requests as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for improving how applications are used.
  • Complete Post installation product registration and maintain quality control.
  • Maintain customer contacts in C4C.
  • Support data collection for first release agreements as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison to The American Institute of Nondestructive Testing (AINDT), a leading provider of NDT training services.

Required Skills & Education:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years of sales, applications, or software customer service support.
  • Strong aptitude for various types of software including MS Office suite.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience and comfort with public speaking
  • Must possess valid passport and have the ability for Canadian travel. Travel is expected to be 70% or more.

Desired Skills:

  • Previous technical experience, including in a military environment, highly desired for our government clientele.


  • Experience with any photo editing or imaging software such as Adobe photoshop, Affinity Photo, Corel PaintShop Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Pixlr, Canva, etc. is helpful.
  • Familiarity with SAP, C4C (or other CRM), PowerBI, and BMI tools.
  • Prior experience in a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) environment.
  • Experience delivering training to internal or external customers.
  • Project or program management experience.

Work Environment:

Traditional Office Environment: This position is primarily an office setting with standard temperature and humidity controls, moderate to light noise, fluorescent lighting, primarily sitting with standing desks available, extensive computer and keyboard use, etc.



  • This position requires frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lifting or carrying items over 70 pounds.
  • Driving time may be 1-4 hours daily and may exceed 50% at times. Overnight stays may be required.
  • Must be flexible in working hours as this position will require customer support during non-regular business hours, occasional overtime, and/or weekend work as necessary.
  • Job operates at customer sites and remotely from a home office location.
  • Required to adhere to certification/credentialing required by the customer in connection with admission into its facilities to perform job duties. Customer requirements may include, but are not limited to, drug testing as dictated by the customer or facility policy.
