Auria is looking to hire a
DevSecOps Engineer to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is ONSITE in Colorado Springs, CO.
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. This program is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The selected candidate will assist the C2BMC DevSecOps team and the Authorization and Assessment team in developing and deploying Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) capability for C2BMC Security Tools.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Assist with system administration across multiple environments, software deployment, troubleshooting, and automation in a DevSecOps environment for a critical customer program
- Utilize the leading DevOps practices and tools, including:
- Hashicorp Tools
- Gitlab CI/CD
- Ansible Tower
- Nexus Pro
- Address systems administration issues involving hardware and software across various network environments
- Support the implementation of custom software solutions that integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), government off-the-shelf (GOTS), and in-house developed software
- Suggest enhancements to the system administration process to reduce overall maintenance needs by working with the design team and manufacturers
- Determine system requirements, input/output processes, and operating parameters for hardware/software compatibility and system configuration maintenance

- Identify, analyze, and address program support deficiencies, propose and suggest corrective actions
- Offer technical guidance to database administrators and software developers
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.
- Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance.
- 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
- or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience,
- or a PhD and 4 years of experience,
- or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA Security, etc.) is required to start
- Experience with:
- CI/CD best practices
- Automated builds and tests
- Quality gates
- Software quality
- CI tools, i.e., Gitlab CI
- Experience with configuration management tools, i.e., Nexus, Gitlab
- Familiarity with branching strategies, gated commits, and source-controlled management
- Familiarity with the principle of DevSecOps
- Atlassian JIRA or other defect tracking tool experience
- Atlassian Confluence, GitLab/GitHub, Jenkins, and Nexus repository experience
- Familiarity with security coding standard best practices, static and dynamic scanning tools, i.e., SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity, PCLint, etc.
- Experience with programming and scripting in a UNIX environment:
- C++
- Perl
- Python

- Ruby Shell
- Scripts
- Programming and scripting experience in a Windows environment
- Ensure the efficient and effective verification, evaluation, implementation, update, and maintenance of the Information System Configuration Compliance baseline by using:
- DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
- Security Requirements Guides (SRGs)
- Program Guidance
- Vendor Guidance
- Has a working knowledge of:
- ACAS (Tenable.sc / Tenable Nessus)
- Evaluate STIG
- Trivy
- SCAP or other cyber scanning tools
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Experience with automation/configuration management using Ansible, GitLab, Nexus, or other equivalent technology
- Experience with developing formal builds within the DoD industry
Salary Range: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $120,000 - $130,000.
