Auria is looking to hire an
MBSE Modeler to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role is ONSITE in Huntsville, AL.
The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. This program is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for constructing and translating paper architecture products into digital models, delivering model artifacts, and working with both internal C2MBC and external MDA stakeholders within an MBSE modeling environment to ensure accurate system representations and behaviors. Work will be performed under the supervision of the Digital Engineering Team (DET) Lead and DET Architecture Model Lead.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- Support the development of architecture models
- Perform model configuration management
- Be a focal point for integration with other modeling teams/environments external to C2BMC (e.g., Models provided/developed by other missile defense partner organizations)
- Mentor junior systems engineering team members to enhance skills in the department
- Will require interfacing with other technical leads, product owners, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure that high-quality products are generated on time and within the available resources
- Review the content and details of technical products
- Act as a technical interface to MDA working level counterparts on an as-required basis
- Be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development, including iteration planning and status
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:
Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume if applicable.
- Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance

- or a PhD and 1 years of experience,
- or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
- Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience building digital architecture models
- Must have experience developing model artifacts consistent with SysMOD and OOSEM methodologies
- Must have experience developing models using the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF 2.0) modeling framework within the CAMEO development environment
- Working knowledge of Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements (DOORS), DOORS for requirement management, and experience linking requirements to the architecture model
- Delivering data products from a modeling platform using tools such as Collaborator, VTL scripts, Webify, Tom Sawyer, and other similar tools
- Must demonstrate a working knowledge of product development within a secure environment, following the Security Classification Guideline (SCG)
- Must have experience linking architecture models with DOORS-managed requirements
- Demonstrated experience building and modifying all viewpoints within the DoDAF 2.0 modeling framework
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- A master's degree in Systems Engineering, along with 3 years of experience, is highly preferred
- Certification: INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
- Certification: Object Management Group Certified Systems Modeling Professional - Model Builder Fundamental (OCSMP - MBF)
- Custom plug-ins and other modeling tool customizations are preferred
- Prefer experience with the CAMEO development environment using the DoDAF 2.0 modeling framework
