Vice President, Information Technology

This is a hybrid position based in Culver City, CA. Candidates must be based in Southern California and available to be on-site and travel as needed.

The pay range for this role is $196,995-$226,545 annually.

Summary

The Vice President, Information Technology is responsible for helping the agency identify and implement innovative technology solutions to respond to the evolving demands of behavioral healthcare. This position will lead both the strategic and tactical technological direction of the agency. The VP will oversee the entire IT organization including asset & vendor management, the help desk, IT systems, network & security and more. This person will report to our Chief Financial Officer and collaborate closely with our executive leadership team and other key stakeholders.

Primary Duties



  • Plans, develops, and oversees technology to be used within Didi Hirsch and partnering external agencies.
  • Regularly monitors, researches, identifies, and recommends opportunities to advance or implement cloud based, SaaS platforms, AI/machine learning, healthcare platforms, and other technologies (new and existing) that drive improvement in organizational efficiency, performance and care quality.
  • Oversees security and integrity of data, infrastructure, intellectual property, and health information to protect it from internal and external risks and threats.
  • Ensures all IT infrastructure is in compliance with all relevant privacy, cybersecurity and security regulations, including HIPAA, COPPA, CCPA, PCI DSS and GDPR.
  • Leads and develop an IT team ranging from 10-20 employees as well as provide leadership throughout the organization relative to information systems activities.
  • Conducts needs assessment of existing IT infrastructure for scalability as required and ensures proper resources are in place to achieve innovative solutions and organizational growth. Recommend trainings and learning opportunities to IT and other staff.
  • Works closely with CFO & CEO in development of IT annual operating budget, I.T. Governance & Cultural alignment in contract agreements and monitors IT related spend.
  • Cooperatively collaborates with departmental leadership and senior management on I.T. related projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
  • As a member of the executive team, the Vice President of IT will engage with board members and may be called upon to present at board meetings or other senior leadership forums

Position Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience working in healthcare is strongly preferred but leaders from all industries will be considered.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated success and progressive experience involving technology, operations, and organizational transformation.
  • Exhibited data-driven strategy and risk tolerance to expand on and innovate Didi Hirsh's infrastructure.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as well as strong collaborative interpersonal skills to learn the needs of the end users and clients served in order to optimize client care technology.
  • Current California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier and an ability to travel to be on-site as needed.
  • Working knowledge of the following (required):

    • Database systems.
    • Help desk operations.
    • Reporting systems operations and design.
    • Project management skills including planning, developing timelines, budgets, staffing needs, and implementation.
    • Administration and organization of computerized systems.
    • Antivirus systems.
    • Cyber Security in relation to HIPAA Compliance.


  • Working knowledge of the following (preferred):

    • Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
    • LAN/WAN.
    • Crystal Reports.
    • MS SQL.
    • Cisco Switches and Routers.
    • Security Procedures, Policies, Firewall and IDS.
    • Remote access systems like Terminal Server.
    • MS Project.
    • Telephone systems, VOip, Cisco.
    • Staff performance, measurement and guidance systems.
