Promote MKTG 360o Services
- Coordinates with the Digital, Comms and Creative Services teams to facilitate strategic pursuits campaign planning, and messaging and planning of any thought leadership initiatives, client events, conferences, advertising, social media, etc. to advance services/reputation with target clients/sectors.
- Supports BD in annual business planning related to client events, conferences, sponsorships, advertising, etc.
- Provides marketing support to key initiatives through creation of brochures, brown bag materials, etc. focused on technical capabilities and benefits.
- Applies knowledge of Layton's/business unit's overall service offerings including strategic initiatives.
Capture Planning and Proposal Development
- Develops capture planning facilitation skills to guide long-term pursuit development strategies and tactics.
- Leads development of highly complex proposals, presentations, and marketing materials via application of Winning on the Left (WOTL) principles and Level of Effort (LOE) guidelines.
- Helps pursuit teams develop sales messages, benefits, and compelling demonstrated experience that will resonate with the client to efficiently win new work.
- Partners with BD to set and meet the proposal development schedule and help coordinate assignments, facilitate storyboarding; help write qualification sections; format and edit content; review for RFP compliance, quality, and messaging; as well as oversee or complete production and delivery.
- Significant content knowledge and ability to contribute to development of persuasive messaging, graphics, and writing in proposals and presentations.
- Supports interview/presentation preparation including the development of content, Q&A preparation, platform skills training, and coaching. Closes out pursuits by planning and facilitating internal debriefs with information shared and integrated into future efforts.
Strategic Client Development
- Supports BD in strategic client relationship development, gaining a deep understanding of client goals and needs, opportunity creation/identification, positioning, and pursuit execution.
- Conducts research about clients and competitors through websites, news sources, publications, direct interaction with clients, subconsultants, and competitors.
- Helps identify and draw attention to gaps in our knowledge and strategize on methods to gain a deeper understanding, tracking actions and progress.
- Leverages information from debriefs to help BDs enhance client relationships, calibrate top clients and pursuits, and advance positioning for future pursuits.
- Helps BDs prepare for strategic client engagement (e.g., sales meetings, wellness checks, lunch n' learns, industry events, conferences, etc.). May have direct client contact, for example, participating in debrief meetings, connecting with clients at industry events.
Maintain and Leverage Marketing Information
- Advanced user of Layton systems, including Cosential, Monday.com, Salesforce, and Open Asset.

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Marketing, Communications, Design, Business or a related field or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in proposal and presentation planning and coordination, page layout, drafting tailored proposal content, graphics development, and editing (AEC industry a plus)
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with emphasis on superior persuasive writing and presentation ability. Experience coaching others in interviews/presentations preferred.
- Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.); MS Office with specific emphasis on PowerPoint.
The full salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000. This position is eligible for a target bonus.
