We are looking for a dynamic Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to join our team! This exciting opportunity focuses on using data to shape healthcare delivery and policy. The analyst will collaborate with stakeholders across disciplines, leveraging large datasets and advanced statistical tools to drive strategic insights and support mission-critical decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide analytical and data sampling support to ongoing audits of medical invoices for compliance with specific coding, service, and billing practices
- Combines data into single tables to extract samples for the audit team for analysis
- Completes comprehensive analytical review of all electronic invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Apply advanced analytical techniques to identify potential anomalies and irregularities as part of the audit team
- Records methods and results as directed by the Audit Team Lead in compliance with the audit methodologies
- Utilizes IDEA auditing software to develop auditing methods and tests and export those results for audit team analysis
- Ensures results and findings are delivered on time and accurately
- Perform invoice testing and document processes and results using IDEA (audit software)
- Identify missing data fields, the use of incorrect codes, and other billing irregularities
- Collaborate with the Audit Team to support audit research and root cause analysis
- Develop IDEA analysis methods and scripts that are repeatable and applicable for each audit to ensure standardization of approach and accuracy of results
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- Must have an active Public Trust or the ability to obtain and maintain a Public trust, which requires U.S. citizenship, a favorable background check (including criminal, credit, and employment history)
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree (in lieu of a bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience) in health information management, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is typically required.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience working with healthcare data, including claims, EHRs, or public health datasets, healthcare auditing, medical documentation evaluation, or a closely related area
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and the use of software tools such as SAS, R, SPSS, Python, or SQL, with a solid understanding of applying statistical methods to analyze healthcare data
- Data Management: Experience with data collection, cleaning, and management practices, ensuring data integrity and usability
- Demonstrated past analytical expertise and the ability to master IDEA is necessary for this position
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, and familiarity with Access and SQL preferred
- Ability to manage multiple issues, keep track of status, and contact clients
- Ability to govern workload and demonstrated time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to function within a team-based work environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be able to identify and resolve problems promptly
- Gather and analyze information skillfully
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions

CATHEXIS offers competitive compensation packages to all eligible employees. Our goal is to provide a compensation package that reflects the value you bring to our team, is competitive with market rates, and promotes your financial security and personal well-being. The annual salary range for this role is $90,000 - $110,000. Please note that the salary information provided is a general guideline. CATHEXIS considers various factors in its final offer, including location, qualifications, experience, and skills.
