Job Overview

You will help optimize Arc3's already robust Safety and Regulatory Compliance functions by assessing them, identifying opportunities to improve them, making those improvements, and standardizing each function's implementation and management across all Arc3 locations. You will be a hands-on working member of our eight-member Safety and Regulatory Compliance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety and health programs, policies, and procedures in line with relevant federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Assist in identifying and assessing workplace hazards, analyzing accident reports, and developing corrective action plans to prevent injuries and promote a safe working environment.
  • Safety Training and Education: Assist in developing and delivering safety training programs for employees, ensuring they are aware of safety procedures, emergency protocols, and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Lead investigations of accidents, near misses, and incidents, performing root cause analysis and preparing reports for management and regulatory agencies.
  • Safety Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits of company facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a safety or compliance role, preferably for a manufacturer and/or distributor of industrial, medical, food and beverage, and specialty gases and welding supplies, or a relevant industry like manufacturing, distribution, or transportation.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential risks and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and relevant safety management software.
  • Relevant certifications, such as OSHA 30-hour course completion, Certified Loss Control Professional (CLCP), or other industry-specific certifications are preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to regularly conduct day trips (50%) and overnight travel (25%).
  • A passion for providing exceptional internal and external customer service at all times.
  • A commitment to always doing the right thing, the right way, following rules, and not cutting corners.
