Under the direction of the President and Chief Operating Officer, and working jointly with the Directors and Physician Directors, ensures and is responsible for the effective management of the clinical, administrative and fiscal operations of Hospital Ancillary Services. Also acts as the Executive Sponsor for VMG Diagnostic Imaging, Pharmacy and Laboratory Services. Oversees and Implements Organizational Strategic, Operational, and Growth objectives.

Responsibilities




  • Understands and supports The Valley Health System's mission statement, vision and values and guiding principles.



  • Communicates clearly and effectively.



  • Carries out safety and infection control procedures to ensure patient, staff and visitor safety.



  • Demonstrates positive behaviors toward patients, families, physicians, and all co-workers. Responds to customers of all age groups in a friendly, prompt, and caring manner while maintaining confidentiality. Promotes mutual respect and professionalism. Partners with team members to meet the needs of the customer.



  • Participates in the organization's performance improvement process to continuously improve the quality of patient care and service delivery.





  • Demonstrated ability to manage both clinicians and non-clinicians.



  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills.



  • Working knowledge of financial and marketing analysis and CQI techniques.





  • Plans and directs the activities of all personnel to achieve objectives derived from the organization's strategic plan for quality of patient care, cost effectiveness, and optimal utilization of both human and material resources.



  • Develops and meets annual goals and objectives for the division, based on the organization's strategic plan and annual goals and objectives, in collaboration with the leadership team.



  • Assures compliance with all regulatory requirements. This includes but is not limited to The Joint Commission and Department of Health and Human Services.



  • Is ultimately accountable for implementation of, and employee compliance with, organization's policies and procedures.



  • Assures performance improvement plans and risk management programs are in place and current for each department, and that time, training and resources are provided for employees. Coordination of plans and programs are done in collaboration with various Medical Directors, medical staff, and stakeholders involved in the clinical/operational deployment of services.




Qualifications




  • Master's Degree in hospital management or a related discipline required



  • Demonstration of progressive leadership skills as required by the position




Starting salary: Commensurate with experience, starting at $300,000.00
